What is the connection between Highlander and Japanese anime?
Here's a little food for thought for you. Do you know that the basic premise for Highlander may have been taken from a Japanese manga/anime?
There is a Japanese manga titled Onikiri Maru, or "The Ogre Slayer", by Kusunoki Kei. The hero is an ogre who desires a great Prize, namely his humanity. To do this, he must fight other ogres in a battle to the death. With every kill, the hero LOSES his powers, kind of like a "Reverse Quickening", until he becomes human. The parallelism is uncanny, isn't it?

Although there are only two chapters currently loaded in this section, there is a total of six chapters actually completed in hard copy.
