Larry Elmore is a repatriated Kentuckian, reemployed by TSR after a decade's separation. He has two sons and lives on Sunbeam Road, which no doubt explains something about doing things twice all the time, but I'm sure I don't know what that would be. You do get a sense of the Kayntuck countryside in the backgrounds of many of his paintings.

He is really the heart of the Dragonlance illustrations and he has set the style of the D and D gaming cards in use today.
