| All this time,
the Queen has been trying to convince Camilla that it would be a good idea
to go, that she is a prisoner, rather than a guest. Camilla remains unconvinced.
This masked leather bandit is clearly no lady, after all.
Camilla finally goes with the Queen, just in time to dash through the town square as the doctor is being hauled up the courthouse stairs and Montoya is walking towards the hotel with Wentworth. Camilla is ecstatic as Helm recognizes her and screams out her name. Wentworth is beside himself. Montoya is clearly not in his happy place. And the Queen is ever less pleased with this troublesome English biddy. |

| Dr. Helm returns
from a heated argument about Montoya's siding with Wentworth--or, more
correctly, himself--to find Camilla waiting in his office.
Smooching ensues. |

Captain
Wentworth tries to bully Montoya. Stupid move.
The Colonel reminds him that while the keeping of slaves and the battering of wives does not fall under his jurisdiction as military governor, it is a serious crime to lie to a military official of Montoya's rank....and the story about Camilla's kidnapping was definitely a lie. The Captain backs off. Montoya promises he'll get the matter straightened out if only people will stop traipsing through his office. Night falls. The Queen goes fishing for captain. |
