Page Five...back at the mine, the doctor tends the ill and meets the Queen for the first time, firsthand.
"She's here!" the cry goes up.
Who's here? Helm searches furtively.
The sargent ignores Helm's pleas for reason and puts a gun to one of the peasant's head, demanding the Queen reveal herself before he reaches the end of his ten count.  He reaches "one." There's a pause, then Tessa screams "No!" and steps into view.
"What took you so long?" the sargent asks.
"I wasn't sure you knew how to count," the Queen replies.
Helm laughs at her joke.

Meanwhile, Marta is praying in the pueblo chapel and sees Montoya in the shadows.

He explains that he never misses celebrating the death of his father. He is not mourning. Grisham arrives to tell him the Queen is captured.  Robert talks the sargent into letting him tend Tessa's wound, which is bleeding again.
Why are you doing this, Doctor? To save me for Grisham and Montoya?

I'm doing this so I can stop the bleeding and so that I can do this...

He palms a scalpel out of his black bag and cuts her bonds.  I can do this much, Senorita. The rest is up to you.
Montoya and Grisham ride up and Tessa breaks away and runs into the mine. They send the sargent in after her. She disarms him.  Then she hammers a hole in the side of a gun powder barrel and kicks it ahead of her as she forces the sargent to proceed her out of the mine.  They appear at the mine entrance and Montoya orders his men to kill her.
If there's going to be a murder here, then you will have to think about killing me next, Luis.  No problem0, Roberto.

Montoya shoves Helm behind him.

Tessa releases the sargent and throws the lamp behind her, into the mine, onto the trail of gunpowder.
Tessa stalls, asking for a moment to say a last prayer for the souls of her captors.  The flames reach the kegs and kaboooom!  When the smoke clears, the Queen is gone, and left behind, only the tarot card.
I think she left that for you, Luis.  The supply ship has at last arrived, good for everyone except Montoya, whose cannon will not be staying at the pueblo...there is no gold to buy them. ...and this is where we came in.

Senorita Alvarado.

I took your advice, Doctor. I didn't eat all morning to see what hunger feels like and I'm famished.  Senorita.
Helm acknowledges Marta.
Tessa walzes by him, chattering to Marta about making her a new dress.
