HONOR THY FATHER
|
|
 |
| As it turns out,
Tessa's betrayal of the shaman did not save Raoul after all. He's been
captured and is currently occupied with the burning questions of : Where
did you get these ten royals? What is a nasty deserter like yourself doing
in a nice jail like this? And the ever-popular, "How would you like a nose
like Senorita Tessa's?" |
 |
 |
 |
And what have we here?
Colonel Montoya has a secret
compartment containing a certain stolen burial mask... |
behind the bookcase in his
office. He retrieves a small chest with a beautiful necklace, which... |
...he offers to Senora Hidalgo
in the lovely setting of his rose garden. |
 |
 |
 |
| "And what would I be
doing to gain such favor with the Colonel?" Vera bats her baby blues suggestively. |
"Ah, no, Senora. Nothing tawdry."
(For tawdry, you would be
paying me, Senora.) He bats his even bluers and explains he wants Vera
to do some creative listening for him. |
Cut to night at the jail and
the mournful chanting of the shaman, which is driving Raoul, his jail mate,
crazy. |
 |
 |
 |
| Shut up! Raoul complains. |
The shaman pauses a moment,
summons the spirit of the
wind, or, |
in this case, the dust, and
then goes back to chanting. |
 |
 |
 |
| Come morning, a Queen with
a bad habit, to the rescue. By means of a well-applied, and very heavy,
bible, |
Tessa frees Raoul and the
shaman |
and jumps Grisham (and the
camera man) on the way out of town. |
